The Garden Design Process

1. Initial Consultation & Site Visit

We begin with an initial call to discuss your project goals. A member of the team will come to your garden to evaluate the space and discuss your aims for the project. This is completely free with no obligation, allowing you to meet a member of the team and get a feel for our process.

During the site visit we will look at the existing garden environment. We will take detailed measurements of the space, make note of what you would like to keep and what you want to change.

We will also take an array of photos for reference when designing the space.

Once we have taken all the measurements we will need we can begin designing the space.

 

2. Sketch Ideation

Post-visit, we create preliminary sketch plans to conceptualise your garden's layout.

These sketches help us visualise and refine features such as seating areas and planting beds. They are used to iterate designs until we finalise the perfect plan.

 

3. Scaled drawings and planning

Our garden designers then craft a scale drawing or 3D model of your garden using specialist software.

Within the software we can create an exact model of your garden. This will help us to understand and communicate what your garden will look like once the project is finished. We share this process with you at each step to make sure you are happy with the progress.

The 3D model can be easily adjusted if any changes to the design are required.

 

4. Visualisation

Time to bring your design to life! We then supply the final drawings to scale and provide visualisation from multiple angles so you can get a real feel for your proposed garden space.

These visuals are included in a Design Document, offering a detailed view of your garden from all angles and providing you with information on the choice of materials for each element of the design.
